Last Saturday, together with my girlfriends, we conquered the infamous
Mt. Mago in northern Cebu! It was just a week of preparation and we thought it was an easy hike as mentioned by some mountaineers' in their blogs. But we got "
lucky" since the day before the hike, Cebu was experiencing heavy rains and as a result, we were trekking a muddy route going to the top! By the way, Mt. Mago hike is a fulfilling one, why? Because when you are able accomplish this so called "
Boundary Climb" then you will be standing in three provinces of Cebu, namely Danao, Tuburan and Carmen!

At 8:10 AM, we arrived in Carmen Market to buy some lunch and of course, this Blogger is a chicken addict. So, the girls decided to buy lechon Chicken at Ogis.
At 8:30 AM, we got a motorcyle ride (Habal-Habal) from Carmen Market. Fare is PHP 100.00
By 9:10 AM, we arrived in Santikan Elementary School to secure the motorcycles. Good thing, our Habal-Habal driver decided to become our Guide going to the peak. It was his second or third time and we were amazed how professional and humble he is.
At 9:15 AM, we started the walk from Santikan to Mt. Mago Peak.
At 10:55 AM, we arrived at Mt. Mago Peak. It was almost an hour of hike and it was a "mid-easy-mid-average" walk. So it is recommended to wear hiking shoes most especially if it's raining - muds are everywhere!
At 11:21 AM, we started going down - going back to Santikan Elementary School.
By 1:30 PM, we finally arrived in Santikan Elementary School where the Habal-habal (motorcycle) was parked. We actually arrived late because in between our walks, we couldn't resist the beauty of nature and we got some snaps!
