Last week, we visited Ilocos, Northwest of Luzon. It was a very long trip spending most of our time inside the bus but all worth it! So after that Ilocos Tour, we did a side-trip to the City of Pines, the Philippines Summer Capital,
Baguio City. After reading the itinerary, I got excited - not because it was my second time but finally, a cold weather during Summer!

That Baguio trip was the best so far! Not to mention, I finally experienced the midnight market (
Oh! I bought two tank tops - for PHP 180 and two long sleeves - For PHP 40 ) but the best story for that trip? I was able to experience a real
Cordilleran Course! Thanks to Cafe Yagam!

Cafe Yagam is not your usual Resto in Baguio City. Almost 3 years old, Cafe Yagam offers authentic Cordilleran Course. The Cafe prepared the foods just like how the people in Cordillera cook their dishes. In fact, most of Cafe Yagam's Chefs come from Cordillera. Now, let me give you some introduction to my favorites dishes that won't failed your taste buds! (wink)
Of course, the dinner won't start without tasting their best seller, Lemon Grass!

First of all, here's my favorite, the
Pinikpikan With Etag! This dish consist of Smokey chicken stew with salted cured meat, served with brown rice and dessert. I just love how the Chicken is prepared!

Of course, the manager wanted us to try their all time favorite Yagam Sausage. First served was Yagam Sausage with Sweet Potato.

Then, there wen Yagam Sausage with Red Rice. Don't you know that Red Rice is healthier than Brown Rice?

And for the dessert, we have Wanchila! It's a Kalinga sticky Rice with a latek! Very good sweets to end the dinner.

Actually, Cafe Yagam helps the Locals by selling their products or buying their goods to be used as ingredients for the Restaurant's dishes and beverages. The Restaurant is open for an exclusive event in a deserving price.
